Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified B IH
The Na,K-ATPase is an integral membrane protein complex responsible for establishing the electrochemical gradients of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membranes of mammalian cells. The enzyme consists of an a and b subunit, both of which exist as isoforms. The a subunit is believed to be the catalytically active subunit, while the b subunit appears necessary for the assembly and transport of the sodium pump to the plasma membrane. The beta subunit is a membrane spanning glycoprotein present in all cell types. The antigenic determinant of this antibody has been mapped to the ectodomain (approximate residues 62-304) of the beta subunit.
Catalog #A4000-70
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry, Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects ATPase beta 1, Na, K in 20ug of rat brain microsomal preparation. A previous lot detected ATPase beta 1, Na, K using rat heart and rat kidney microsomal preparations. Rat brain microsomal preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunohistochemistry: 10ug/ml on 4% paraformaldehyde fixed tissue.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaAg8 mouse myeloma cells with immunized Balb/c splenocytes.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
