| TIRC7 is an 830aa containing novel T cell membrane protein directly involved in T cell activation. A member of the V-ATPase 116kD subunit family and a part of the proton channel of V-ATPases, TIRC7 is a heteromultimeric regulatory enzyme mediating the acidification of the bone:osteoclast interface. Two isoforms of TIRC7 are present which express in osteoclastomas and thymus. Besides immune response and bone resorption, TIRC7 may also act as an upstream regulatory molecule of CTLA4 expression. Defects in TIRC7 are the cause of osteopetrosis autosomal recessive type 1 (OPTB1). | | | Catalog # | A4000-77 | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
