| ATP synthase is extremely conserved through evolution and can be found in plants, fungi, bacteria and animals. The ATP synthase enzyme is a transmembrane protein responsible for driving the reversible reaction from ADP+ phosphate to ATP. This reaction is accomplished by a flux of protons across the membrane as a result of electron transfer. The ATP synthase protein has two main sections; the F1 ATPase (soluble) and the F0 ATPase (membrane embedded). The F1 section consists of the alpha, beta, gamma, delta and epsilon subunits. While the F0 consists of a, b and c subunits. | | | Catalog # | A4005-01A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunofluorescence: 5ug/ml | | Immunoprecipitation: Detects an ~50kD protein representing ATP Synthase from solubilized rat brain mitochondria. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 8J332 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Rat | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 1mg/ml BSA, 0.05% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified | | Immunogen | Intact rat mitochondria.
