| Isolation of Candida sp. | | | Catalog # | B1088 | | Description | BiGGY Agar was formulated by Nickerson. Bismuth sulfite inhibits bacterial growth without affecting the growth of Candida. Candida sp. reduce the bismuth sulfite and produce pasty brown to black colonies. C. albicans produce characteristic colonial morphologies and can be differentiated from other Candida species. | | Storage | Store the sealed bottle containing the dehydrated medium at 2 to 30.0°C. Once opened and recapped, place the container in a low humidity environment at the same storage temperature. Protect it from moisture and light.
