Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified B
Normal mammalian development requires both maternal and paternal contributions to the genome for complete gene expression. Several new imprinted genes that are expressed at the blastocyst stage are being identified-one of them being the brain-expressed X-linked gene2. The human chromosomal region containing the BEX genes has revealed at least 16 diseases or syndromes. Many of these involve hearing loss and mental retardation which indicates that screening these disorders for BEX gene involvement will be an important step towards understanding the underlying mechanisms.
