| The Bloom's syndrome gene, BLM, plays an important role in the maintenance of genomic stability in somatic cells. The BLM protein is a 1417 amino acid peptide with homology to the RecQ helicases, a subfamily of DexH-box-containing DNA and RNA helicases. | | | Catalog # | B2163-01 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Mouse | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7-8, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | The epitope recognized maps to a region between residues 50 and 100 of mouse Bloom Syndrome Homolog using the numbering given in entry NP_031576.2 (GeneID 12144). | | Specificity | Species Crossreactivity: This antibody crossreacts with mouse. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with human BLM is not expected owing to divergence between this ortholog and mouse BLM at the site to which the epitope maps. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
