Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) is a disulfide-bonded homodimeric protein which regulates similiarly to its nearest homologue BMP-4 diverse fundamental processes during embryonic development. BMP proteins have great potential for medical therapeutic applications, in particular because they allow or at least accelerate the ossification of extensive bone lesions.

Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:2000
Dot Blot: 1:2000
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Detects a band of ~45kDa.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
