BMPR-IA, also known as ALK-3, is a type I transmembrane Ser/Thr kinase. It associates with type II Ser/Thr kinases to form signaling receptor complexes for TGF-a family cytokines. BMPR-IA is widely expressed during embryogenesis and in adult tissues.
