| CDC42, a small Rho GTPase, regulates the formation of F-actin-containing structures through its interaction with the downstream effector proteins. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Borg family of CDC42 effector proteins. Borg family proteins contain a CRIB (Cdc42/Rac interactive-binding) domain. They bind to, and negatively regulate the function of, CDC42. This protein can interact with CDC42, as well as with the ras homolog gene family, member Q (ARHQ/TC10). Expression of this protein in fibroblasts has been shown to induce pseudopodia formation. | | | Catalog # | B2554-15A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Not recommended for Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug/mg lysate | | Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in Tris-citrate/phosphate, pH 7.5, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | The epitope recognized by this antibody maps to a region between residue 204 and 254 of human binder of Rho GTPases 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_006440.2 | | Specificity | Species Crossreactivity: Human. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
