This protein has an ankyrin repeat region and two BTB/POZ domains, which are thought to be involved in protein-protein interactions. Expression of the gene is activated by the phosphatase and tensin homolog, a tumor suppressor. Alternate splicing results in three transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, observed in human heart lysates on ~38kD bands Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3-5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to RALEDLLVSIGLDC, from human ABTB1, at C-terminal (NP_115937.1, NP_742024.1, NP_742025.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ABTB1. Species sequence homology: Canine, mouse and rat.
