| Human BDNF is a member of the NGF family of neurotrophic growth factors which supports neuron proliferation and survival. BDNF mediates its neurotrophic properties by signaling through a high affinity cell surface seceptor called gp145/trkB. | | | Catalog # | B2700-01E | | Biological Activity | Determined by its ability to stimulate chick E8 neurite outgrowth. The ED50 is 0.1-0.01ng/ml. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 6 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 1 month at 4°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
