| Chicken Bu-1a, a product of the Bu-1a allele, is expressed on the cell surface as a disulfide-linked homodimer. In 10-week-old H.B15 and H.B2 chickens, Bu-1 is found on 85-90% of bursal cells, 2-8% of thymocytes, 15-27% of spleen cells, and 2-18% of peripheral blood cells. It is also expressed on subsets of macrophages and monocytes, but not on granulocytes, erythrocytes or thrombocytes. In chickens heterozygous for the Bu-1 alleles (Bu-1a/b), Bu-1a does not exhibit allelic exclusion. | | | Catalog # | B2788-50A | | Applications | • Flow cytometry 1 | | • Immunoprecipitation 1 | | • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) | | Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 1ug/10e6 cells | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 5K93 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Chicken | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.1% sodium azide. Conjugated to FITC. | | Purity | Purified | | Immunogen | Bursal cells from one-day-old H.B15 (Bu-1a/b) strain chickens | | Specificity | Recognizes chicken Bu-1a alloantigen, Mr 70kD.
