| B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein which is structurally and functionally related to cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), and programmed death-1 (PD-1). BTLA is a T-cell inhibitory receptor that regulates T cell activation through its interaction with herpes virus entry mediator (HVEM), a co-stimulator receptor of the TNFR family. BTLA may negatively regulate T-cell dependent autoimmune reaction, and polymorphisms in its gene have been associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis. | | | Catalog # | B5001-60C1 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:20; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | P3U1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from C3H/HeN mice. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 10B1179 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | BTLA-transfected L cells. | | Specificity | Recognizes human B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA). | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | B- and T-lymphocyte Associated |
