| C1q together with C1r and C1s composes the C1 macromolecule, the first component of the classical complement pathway. It functions as recognition unit by binding to immunoglobulins (IgM and IgG). C1q binding to IgG and IgM immune complexes activates C1r and C1s, which are bound to C1q and so initiates the classical pathway of complement activation. | | | Catalog # | C0010-02 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Functional studies.
