| Cadherins are a family of CA2+ dependent intercellular adhesion molecules that play a central role in controlling morphogenetic movements during development. Their function is regulated by association with the actin cytoskeleton by a complex of cytoplasmic proteins called the catenin (alpha, beta and gamma). Members of the cadherin family include Cadherin 6 (K-Cadherin), P-cadherin, E-cadherin (uvomorulin), N-cadherin (neural cadherin), R-Cadherin, cadherin 5, L-CAM and EP-Cadherin. |

| Catalog # | C0107-10X |
| Epitope | C-terminal |
| Positive Control | Tonsil, squamous epithelium |
| Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. |
| Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry: 2.5-5ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Stains human lung small cell carcinoma using peroxidase-conjugate and AEC chromogen. Note membrane staining of tumor cells. |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
| Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (30-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
