| Cadherin-13, also known as H-Cadherin and T-Cadherin, is a GPI-linked calcium dependent adhesion molecule that is predominantily expressed in heart and brain. Cadherin-13 negatively influences cell growth and is down regulated in some cancers. A 116 residue N-terminal propeptide is proteolytically removed to generate mature Cadherin-13. Human and mouse proCadherin-13 share 95% amino acid identity. |

| Catalog # | C0108-50C |
| Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. |
| Recommended Dilution | Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, the detection limit to detect recombinant human is ~7ng/well. |
| Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, detects recombinant human: 5ng/lane under non-reducing coditions. Not recommended for use under reducing conditions. |
| Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml using NCI-H460 human large lung cancer cells. Add 10ul of the diluted solution to 1-2.5 x10e5 cells in a total reaction volume < 200ul. The binding of unlabeled monoclonal antibodies may be visualized by adding 10ul of a 25ug/ml stock solution of a secondary developing reagent such as IgG (FITC) goat anti-rat. |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
| Flow Cytometry Positive Control | NCI-H460 human large cell lung cancer cells. |
| Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
