| Calbindin-D is a highly conserved 28 kD (261 aa) protein that belongs to a family of low molecular weight calcium-binding proteins (CaBPs). Calbindin-D has 4 active calcium binding domains. It plays a role in the regulation of calcium and calcium related signalling in neurons and during embryo development. | | | Catalog # | C0113-16A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml, has a predicted length of 261aa and a MW of 28kD | | Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues) 1-2ug/ml | | Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Clone No | 9G324 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Bovine | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 1.2% sodium acetate, 2% BSA, 0.2% sodium azide. Reconstitute with sterile PBS to concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. | | Purity | Purified by affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Bovine kidney Calbindin-D. | | Specificity | Recognizes rat Calbindin.
