Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified B IP RIA
Calmodulin (CaM) is a ubiquitous, calcium-binding protein that can bind to and regulate a multitude of different protein targets, thereby affecting many different cellular functions.
Catalog #C1035-05
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipation and RIA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsWestern Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml detects calmodulin (~17kD) in RIPA lysates from human A431 carcinoma cells. Previous lots detected calmodulin in RIPA lysates from mouse 3T3 and L6 rat skeletal fibroblasts. Non-stimulated A431 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with C1035-05. Proteins were visualized using a Gt xMo IgG (HRP) and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunoprecipitation: 4ug immunoprecipitates calmodulin from A431 RIPA cell lysate.
RIA: 10ug/ml detects calmodulin in the range of 200-300ng.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Recommended Secondary AntibodiesI1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo
I1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo
I1904-14C: IgG, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt xMo
I1904-19C: IgG, F(abí)2 (HRP) Pab Gt xMo
Included Positive Antigen ControlA0001-50: Non-stimulated A431 cell lysate. Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
