| Catalog # | C1035-25Q1 | | CaM-kinase II (CAMK2) is a prominent Ser/Thr protein kinase in the central nervous system that may function in long-term potentiation and neurotransmitter release. Likely autophosphorylation of Thr-286 allows the kinase to switch from a calmodulin-dependent to a calmodulin-independent state. CAMK2 is composed of four different chains | alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. The different isoforms assemble into homo- or heteromultimeric holoenzymes composed of 8 to 12 subunits. | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:1,000 | | Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 | | Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.25mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human CAMK2 (KLH). | | Specificity | Recognizes human CAMK2.
