| The multifunctional Ca2+/ calmodulin dependent protein kinase II also known as Calcium/calmodulin Kinase (CaMK II) is a well known effector of calcium and calmodulin-mediated functions. It is present in many tissue but it is abundant in brain. CaMKII also required for synaptic plasticity such as Long Term Potentiation (LTP), a cellular model for learning and memory. | | | Catalog # | C1035-25Q4 | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. | | Immunocytochemistry: 1:100. | | Immunofluorescence: 1:100. (Staining can be weak.) | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Controls | Human, mouse or rat brain | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
