| This polyclonal antibody recognizes different epitopes on the MRP8/14 heterocomplex (S100A8/S100A9). It is particularly suited for use in ELISA or similar assays. It was generated by immunising chickens with recombinant MRP8/14. Thus, the antibody does not discriminate between the individual subunits MRP8 or MRP14. In immune histochemistry, it detects early inflammatory macrophages and can thus be used for the classification of acute stage inflammation in tissue sections and in smears.
