Pretreating blots with lambda phosphatase (400 units/ml), prior to incubation reduced the signal strength. Treatment with lambda phosphatase had no effect on the signal strength using a non-phosphospeci c CaM Kinase II antibody. A rat brain microsomal preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and incubated without lambda phosphatase or incubated with lambda phosphatase before being probed with anti-phospho-CaM Kinase II (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
