| Calmodulin dependent protein kinases, with a molecular weight of 65kD, consist of a family of Ser/Thr protein kinases including CaMK I, CaMK II, and CaMK IV. CaMKs are considered to play a central role in many cellular functions in response to Ca2+ signaling, including synthesis and secretion of neurotransmitters, axonal transport, long term potentiation, etc. CaM kinase IV is abundantly expressed in the brain and the thymus, and is localized o the cytoplasm and nucleus. | | | Catalog # | C1036-85M | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
