Carboxypeptidase A2 (CPA2) is a pancreatic peptidase that cleaves C-terminal residues with aromatic side chains including Trp, Tyr and Phe. The 411 aa human CPA2 consists of a pro region (aa 17 to 112) and a mature chain (aa 113 to 417).

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Direct ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionsWestern blot: 1-2ug/ml Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit for rhCPA2 is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection with WesternGloTM Chemiluminescent Detection Substrate will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold.
Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml
Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaNSO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Endotoxin < 0.1 EU per 1ug of the antibody as determined by the LAL method.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
