Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), which is synthesized during development in the fetal gut, and is re-expressed in increased amounts in intestinal carcinomas and several other tumors.

Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: Single 180kD band. Protein quantitation by Abbott EIA. Minor to none contaminant bands present.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
