Specifications

Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified E B
Alpha-catenins stabilize the cell-cell contacts by functioning as a molecular switch that regulates actin dynamics at the site of the adherens junction (1). Alpha-T Catenin is involved in the formation of stretch-resistant cell-cell adhesion complexes (2). Alpha-T catenin is expressed predominantly in cardiomyocytes, where it colocalizes with alpha-E catenin at the intercalated discs (1). Moreover, alpha-T Catenin is also expressed in the brain and inhibits Wnt signaling, so it is implicated in Alzheimer’s disease (3).
