Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified B IH
Cathepsin B is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that is important for intracellular protein catabolism. Cathepsin B has been implicated in several disease states including muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis and tumor metastasis.
Catalog #C2097-05
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommnended DilutionsWestern Blot: 2-4ug/ml. Detected both procathepsin B and cathespin B in 20ug of rat kidney microsomal preparation (M3893-27). Rat kidney microsomal preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with C2097-05. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunohistochemistry: 10ug/ml positively stained rat kidney and liver sections that had been fixed with ethanol:acetic acid [95:5] for 5 minutes at RT.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
