| Cathepsins are localized primarily in lysosomes or endosomes, but translocated to the cytosol during apoptosis. The translocation allows these proteases to interact with caspases or other apoptosis signaling mechanisms. Studies show that cathepsins cleave certain caspases, and caspase inhibitors can inhibit cathepsin activity in vitro. | | | Catalog # | C2097-74C | | Application(s) | | | ELISA | | Western Blot (200-1'000ng/ml) | | Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application. | | | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 6D13 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Purity | Highly purified (SDS-PAGE). | | Specificity | Recognizes human cathepsin L.
