Cathepsin family of proteases contains several diverse classes of enzymes. The cysteine protease class comprises cathepsin B, H, K, L, O, and S. The aspartyl protease class contains cathepsin D and E. Cathepsin G belongs to the serine protease class. Cathepsins are involved in various cellular events such as peptide biosynthesis, protein degradation, and apoptosis. Cathepsin S has been shown to be present in aveloar macrophages.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot: 1-4ug/ml

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
