| CCR3 has been reported in blood, brain, lung, bone marrow, kidney, liver, lymph node, placenta, skin, spleen, thymus, thyroid, uterus and vessel. Within these tissues, CCR3 is expressed in specific cell types, including eosinophils, basophils, Th2 cells, and mast cells. The agonists for CXCR3 (IP-10, mig, and I-TAC) act as antagonists for CCR3 by competing for the binding of eotaxin to CCR3. The CCR3 receptor is expressed on human eosinophils, basophils, neutrophils, mast cells, mononuclear phagocytes, platelets, CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells, Th2-like lymphocytes and keratinocytes. CCR3 is thought to play a key role in allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. CCR3 is a co-receptor for HIV-1 and -2 and the binding of eotaxin with CCR3 has been shown to inhibit HIV infection in some cell types. The CCR3 receptor has been reported to be upregulated by high affinity Fc IgE receptor ligation. Human CCR3 is a receptor for CC chemokine eotaxin-1 and eotaxin-2. CCR 3 is constitutively expressed on eosinophils, small intestine and colon. The human CCR3 protein contains 356 amino acids. | | | Catalog # | C2099-67B | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: >1:500; Binds to human eosinophils. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | | | Human peripheral blood cells. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 1mg/ml BSA, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide [CVETFGTTSYYDDVGLLCEKADTRALMA] (Human), corresponding to N-terminal aa7-34.
