| CCR6 is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. The gene is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. The ligand of this receptor is macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3 alpha). This receptor has been shown to be important for B-lineage maturation and antigen-driven B-cell differentiation, and it may regulate the migration and recruitment of dentritic and T cells during inflammatory and immunological responses. CCR6 has been reported to be expressed in intestine, colon, liver, lymph node, spleen, lung, blood, umbilical cord, placenta, skin, and pancreas. It has also been reported to be expressed in lymphocytes, T cells, and B cells. | | | Catalog # | C2099-70C | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1k | | Clone No | 8j7 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Recombinant human CCR6 (1-46aa) purified from E. coli | | Specificity | Recognizes human CCR6. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
