| Chemokine receptors are specialized proteins that function at the surface of cells, and enable chemokines to trigger internal cellular processes. Chemokines and their receptors play a pivotal role in lymphocyte trafficking, recruiting and recirculation. Chemokines act through seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. The chemokine system is increasingly recognized to play an important role in lymphocyte biology. | | | Catalog # | C2099-93A | | CCR4 is a chemokine receptor and is preferentially expressed on type 2 helper T (Th2-type) cells. In contrast to other chemokine receptors, the expression of CCR4 and CCR8 on Th2 cells is transiently increased following TCR and CD28 engagement. Moreover, activated Th1 cells up-regulate CCR4 expression and functional responsiveness to thymus- and activation-regulated chemokine. Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:30,000 | | Western Blot: 1:500 | | Immunocytochemistry: 1:200 (acetone fixation) | | Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100 | | Flow Cytometry: 1:12 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, with 1 mg/ml BSA and 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | 23 amino acid synthetic peptide SNYYLYESIPKPCTKEGIKAFGE. | | Specificity | Peptide sequence is <50% identical to other Chemokine receptors in this region.
