| Chemokine receptors are specialized proteins that function at the surface of cells, and enable chemokines to trigger internal cellular processes. Chemokines and their receptors play a pivotal role in lymphocyte trafficking, recruiting and recirculation. Chemokines act through seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. The chemokine system is increasingly recognized to play an important role in lymphocyte biology. | | | Catalog # | C2100-20 | | CCR11 is a G protein-coupled, seven-transmembrane receptor protein that plays a role in the chemotaxis and trafficking of leukocytes. Showing similar binding affinities as does CCR2 and CCR10 (1,2), CCR11 has been shown to specifically bind the MCP- (monocyte chemoattractant protein) family of chemokines, including MCP-4, MCP-2, and MCP-1. It was also shown to bind eotaxin (3).
