| MME, also known as Neprilysin or CALLA for common acute lymphocytic leukemia antigen, is a Metallopeptidase M13 type protease. MME functions as a peptidase and inactivates several peptide hormones including glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin.
