CD21 antigen (also called CR2) is the receptor for C3d and for EBV. The antibody is useful for typing of mature leukemias and lymphomas.

Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10; Incubation Time 1 hr at RT.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

SpecificityAntigen Recognized Human in Species (tested so far). Reacts with a type I integral membrane glycoprotein (Mr 140kD), present on a subpopulation of B-cells (mature B-cells) and on dendritic reticulum cells. No crossreactivity with other lymphoid cells was observed.
