| CD21 is a 145kD type I integral membrane glycoprotein. It is a receptor for C3d and Epstein Barr virus and is expressed on mature B cells, follicular dendritic cells and pharyngeal and cervical epithelial cells. It is also found on a subset of T cells and thymocytes. CD21 plays a role in B cell activation and proliferation by its interaction with C3d, resulting in enhanced signaling through the BCR complex.1-7 |

| Catalog # | C2272-71D |
| Applications | • Flow cytometry |
| • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) |
| • Immunoprecipitation |
| Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 5ul/10e6 cells |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
| Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
| PE/CY5 combination conjugate is used as a third fluorochrome in multicolor flow cytometry applications when only a single 488nm excitation source is available. Antibodies are covalently coupled using heterobifunctional linking reagents, resulting in an optimal conjugation format for flow cytometry. |
