The a3 subunit, also known as CD49c and VLA-3 a subunit, forms a non-covalent heterodimer with the Integrin b1 subunit (CD29). Integrin a3b1 is a receptor for laminin, fibronectin, collagen, epiligrin, and thrombospondin.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in attachment inhibition assays and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsAttachment Inhibiition Assays: using fibroblasts, most epithelial cells, activated lymphocytes on laminin, collagen and fibronectin.
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): >1:75 using fresh frozen human tonsil tissue
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): >1:75. Protease digestion required
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
