ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Radioimmunoassay, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA/RIA: 1:1000
Western Blot (non-reduced): 1:1000. Blocking should be with 1-3% BSA. Recognizes a 140kD band under non-reducing conditions.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:500
Immunoprecipitiation: 5ul to precipitate alpha4 from 5x10e6 cells.
Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

SpecificityRecognizes human Integrin alpha 4. Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of 35S methionine-labeled lymphoid cells. No crossreactivity to alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 5, alpha 6 or alpha V. Recognizes an epitope on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein. Epitope is intracellular. Species Crossreactivity: rat, chicken, hamster and mouse.
