| The gp IIb (CD41) antigen and the gp IIIa (CD61) antigen form the cell adhesion complex (gp IIb/IIIa) which is the receptor on platelets for brinogen, von Wilebrand factor, bronectin and vitronectin. The CD61 antigen is present on virtually all resting and activated platelets. The antigen is also known to be present on endothelial cells, megakaryocytes and some leukemias of myeloid, erythroid and lymphoid origin. | | | Catalog # | C2414-06 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Flow Cytometry: 1ug to stain 1 x 10e6 cells. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. | | Source | Cell culture | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 1.BB.512 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 2mM EDTA, 1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide. Labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Washed human platelets | | Specificity | Recognizes the common beta-subunit of the gp IIb/IIIa complex (Mr 110kD) and the vitronectin receptor (VNR). | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | Platelet glycoprotein IIIa, ITGB3, GP3A |
