| CD61 (GPIIIa) is a glycoprotein found on megakaryocytes, platelets and their precursors. CD61 antigen plays a role in platelet aggregation and also as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronection, von Willebrand factor and vitronectrin. | | | Catalog # | C2414-09 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry . Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry : 1:25-1:50 for 60 min at RT (frozen & formalin/paraffin). Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Tonsil | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 0.N.154 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as tissue culture supernatant, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Tissue culture supernatant | | Immunogen | Recombinant protein encoding part of the external domain of human CD61. | | Specificity | Recognizes CD61 (GPIIIa) at 150kD. Species Reactivity: Human. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | Platelet glycoprotein IIIa, ITGB3, GP3A |
