Recombinant human B-FABP comprises a 132aa polypeptide (1-132) corresponding to the full-length protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.
Catalog #C2414-92T
Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs), such as B-FABP, are a group of low-molecular weight cytosolic proteins involved in the solubilization and transport of fatty acids. Together with the heart-type fatty acid-binding proteins (H-FABP), B-FABP is released into serum after acute ischaemic stroke and is used as an early marker for the diagnosis of stroke.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
