| CD63, also known as LAMP-3 or ME491 (melanoma- associated antigen), is a member of the tetraspanin superfamily of protein trafficking proteins. CD63 is ubiquitously expressed and found in late endocytic vesicles, but following cell activation is also present on the plasma membrane. CD63 interacts with other membrane proteins or adaptors to regulate activities such as adhesion, migration and degranulation. The 238aa CD63 migrates at 30-60kD, depending on post-translational modification. Extracellular regions of mouse CD63 share 94% and 67% aa identity with rat and human CD63, respectively. | | | Catalog # | C2418-02K | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
