Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified FC
Macrosialin is the murine homologue of the human macrophage glycoprotein CD68, both are members of the lysosomal-associated membrane protein (lamp) family which are located predominantly within the cells and can be detected by flow cytometry using cell permeablisation. Does detect surface macrosialin at low levels in resident mouse peritoneal macrophages which can be enhanced with thioglycollate stimulation.
Catalog #C2423-05B
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionFlow Cytometry: Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Membrane permeabilization is required for this application.
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher
Recommended Negative ControlsMouse IgG1 Negative Control: FITC
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 1% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide. Labeled with Fluorescein Isothiocyanate Isomer 1 (FITC).
PurityPurified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
ImmunogenCell suspensions of human lymph node.
SpecificityRecognizes the 110KD integral membrane glycoprotein CD68 (Macrosialin) predominantly expressed on the intracellular lysosomes of monocytes and macrophages and to a lesser extent by dendritic cells and peripheral blood granulocytes. Elevated expression of CD68 has been demonstrated on CD34+ cells in various human malignancies, including several Acute Myeloid Leukaemia studies.
