| CD100, also known as leukocyte semaphorin), is a homodimeric protein expressed on majority of hemopoietic cells ( B, T, NK and myeloid cells) and is absent from bone marrow, erythrocytes, eosinophils and endothelial cells. CD100 was shown to associate with different partner molecules in T cells such as CD45, a key molecule with protein tyrosine phosphatase activity involved in T-cell transduction, and serin kinase. It plays a role in homotypic cell adhesion and in T cell activation. It expression is increased after PHA-activation. | | | Catalog # | C2445-11 | | Semaphorins are neuronal chemorepellants that direct pioneering neurons during nervous system development. CD100 is a novel semaphorin that induces B cells to aggregate and improves their viability in vitro. CD100 modi es CD40-CD40L B-cell signaling by augmenting B-cell aggregation and survival and down-regulating CD23 expression. CD72 is a lymphocyte receptor for the Class IV semaphorin CD100, which is involved in regulating B cell signaling. | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:250-1:500 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide before the addition of 40% glycerol. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide, aa147-158 [GKNEDGKGRCPF] of the human CD100 protein. | | Specificity | Reacts with residues 147-158 [GKNEDGKGRCPF] of the human CD100 protein. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
