Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Serum IP IH
Human beta4 integrin is also known as CD104. It is a 205kD glycoprotein. It associates with the alpha6 integrin to form the alpha6/beta4 complex. CD104 is expressed on epithelial cells, Schwann cells and various tumor cell lines.
Catalog #C2446-01C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunopreciptiation. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionsImmunoprecipitation: Labeled cell extract 5ul of serum is sufficient to precipitate a6b4 from 1-2x10e6 cells. In some cases immunoprecipitation from 35S methionine labeled cells originates two bands of 95 and 55kD of unknown origin in addition to the 200kD and 140kD bands corresponding to b4 and a6.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

ImmunogenSynthetic peptide from the COOH terminal, cytoplasmic domain of the human b4 integrin subunit. The sequence used is NH2- (K)GTLSTHMDQQFFQT-amide. The lysine (K) is not in the b4 sequence and was added to conjugate the peptide to the protein carrier.
SpecificityRecognizes human b4 integrin. The epitope recognized is on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein and is thus intracellular. No crossreactivity to other integrin b subunits. Species Crossreactivity: rat and mouse
