| CD104 is the 210kD integrin beta4 subunit which forms a heterodimer with the integrin alpha6 subunit (CD49f) that is expressed on the hemidesmosomes of stratified epithelia, and on simple epithelia and Schwann cells. Hemidesmosomal CD49f/CD104 (alpha6beta4) plays an important role in the adhesion of epithelia to basement membranes, via interactions with laminin and/or kalinin anchoring filaments.1-4 | | | Catalog # | C2446-02 | | Applications | • Flow cytometry | | • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) | | • Immunoprecipitation | | • ELISA | | • Blocking studies | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry: 1-5ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
