| Endoglin is an endothelial homodimeric membrane antigen containing the tripeptide sequence RGD which is a recognition motif for adhesion receptors of the integrin family. CD105 is a Type I transmembrane protein and exists as an O-and N-glycosylated homodimer. Endoglin is a TGF beta-binding glycoprotein that is most abundantly expressed on endothelial cells in tissues with in ammatory or in ammatory-like characteristics, such as the skin lesions in psoriasis. Proliferating endothelial cells in granulation tissue and in tumors (e.g. melanoma of the skin) also exhibit enhanced expression of endoglin. In addition, a marked staining of syncytiotrophoblasts in placenta is observed. CD105 binds to TGF-b1 and b3 with high affinity but not TGF-b2. | | | Catalog # | C2446-50A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot.
