| CD105, also known as Endoglin, is a homodimeric type I transmembrane glycoprotein associated primarily with vascular endothelium. It binds TGF-beta1 and TGF-beta3 efficiently and forms a complex with the TGF-b signaling receptors, TGF-b receptors I and II. CD105 plays important roles in angiogenesis and hematopoiesis. Recently, it was shown that multipotent stem cells can be isolated from bone marrow and muscle tissue based on their expression of CD105. In addition, CD105 was also shown to be a functional marker that defines long term repopulating hematopoietic stem cells from bone marrow side-population cells. | | | Catalog # | C2446-50K | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 0.1ug/ml; 10ul label 1-2.5x10e5 cells in a total reaction volume < 200ul. Use an IgG (FITC) goat anti-mouse. | | Immunocytochemistry: 2-5ug/ml detects CD105 on human U937 cells. Cells were fixed with PBS, 4% paraformaldehyde for 20 mins at RT and blocked with PBS, 10% normal donkey serum, 0.1% Triton X-100, 1% BSA for 45 mins at RT. After blocking, cells were incubated with C2446-50K overnight at 4ºC followed by an IgG (Rhodamine Red) anti-mouse at RT in the dark for one hour. Between each step, cells were washed with PBS containing 0.1% BSA. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | Resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Endoglin extracellular domain. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 8H109 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose.
