Endoglin (ENG, CD105) is an auxiliary receptor for the TGF-beta receptor complex, functioning in related signaling pathways (1,2). Endoglin is a transmembrane protein that exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer. It is mainly expressed in vascular and connective tissues and in endothelial and stromal cells. Upregulated endoglin expression has been reported in wound healing, tumor vascularization, inflammatory tissues and in developing embryos (1-4). Mutations in endoglin have been found to be a causal factor of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a disease characterized by malformation of vascular structure (5,6). The importance of this protein for normal and tumor vascular function makes it a good marker for en- dothelial cell proliferation as well as a potential therapeutic target in cancer (4-6).

Application	Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Antibody Dilutions	Western blot: 1:1000 incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
