Recombinant VCAM fragment comprises a 203 amino acid fragment (109-331) corresponding to the Ig-like C2 type domains 2 and 3 and is expressed in E. coli with anamino-terminal hexahistidine tag.

VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. VCAM-1 may also play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
